The secret of your future is hidden in your daily routine

Morning routine, morning routine, morning routine…!

It doesn’t matter if you are a Guru, an entrepreneur, a student, a parent, career-driven, working online or taking early retirement, a good morning routine is essential for everyone, whatever stage of life you are at.

Win the morning and win the whole day, right? But, why not just roll out of bed to pursue caffeinated beverages until you can function properly in the morning?

Well, let me shine some Ayurveda light onto this question and into your life…

Ayurveda is one of the oldest, holistic healing systems in the world. Back in those days, mystical seers, the Rishis, fully devoted themselves to meditation and contemplation to discover truths about themselves and the world around them. These dudes were ridiculously smart, downloading tons of essential knowledge for health & wellbeing ages ago.

Meanwhile, what are we doing in the west? I’ll tell you what we are doing, we are arriving a few thousand years late to the party! We are masters at ignoring this long-known ancient knowledge, always thinking we know better, downing our Starbucks and chasing easy carby, sugary pick-me-ups to face the daily grind.

But, let me tell you, it doesn’t have to be like this. There is another way, you can have a meaningful and great start to the day that won’t leave you burnt out, with caffeine jitters or energy crashes.

What was the one thing that turned my world upside-down…?

It was following a simple daily morning routine in magnificent Ayurveda style.

It was an absolute game-changer for me—honestly!!

This ancient daily routine, known as Dinacharya, puts you into alignment from head to toe, setting the perfect tone for your day. When I say head to toe, I mean it, full-blown head to toe alignment…

In a nutshell, the Ayurvedic morning routine takes care of your mouth, nose and ears, you balance the nervous system with pranayama (breathing techniques), you calm the mind with meditation, move your body with yoga or any other exercise practice, enjoy a cuddle-in-a-cup of yummy herbal tea, topped off with some pure quality me time. I am not a journaler myself but I also like to write my “I can do it” list (aka “to do list”!) and visualize my outcomes for the day too, which is the icing on the cake.

World, I am ready! This sets the day in a way you have never known before. It gives me the gentle kick up the behind, the energy, the motivation to live the day feeling wonderfully good vibes! I feel my absolute best when I am in sync & harmony with my natural body clock, living to the beat of our circadian rhythm.

Honestly, who doesn’t want to wake up in the morning energized and starting as you mean to go on? You know how it feels, when you are in your power, your best headspace as your badass best self?! This is the way to greet a new day of adventures, the natural way.

And to share with you my personal experience, one of many magical wins that result from some specific parts of the Ayurvedic daily routine, I recently shared a post on my social media that I had a dentist appointment and I haven’t been for three years…whoops!

Maybe I am not setting the best example here, BUT even though I haven’t been for three years, I was out in less than 15 minutes. Our island dentist cleaned my teeth and all was good thanks to the ancient practice of oil pulling and using herbal toothpaste. I tell you, this stuff works!

To share more of this wonderful wisdom, I created a guide with 9 Simple Ayurveda lifestyle & daily routines for you; they take very little time but make a huge difference on how you thrive throughout the day.

Don’t just take my word for it, come experience it and try for yourself!
