„Life (Ayu) is the combination (samyoga) of body, senses, mind and reincarnating soul. Ayurveda is the most sacred science of life, beneficial to humans both in this world and the world beyond. „ (Charaka Samhita, I 42-43)
The “science of life” or longevity, this holistic medicine system comes from India and has been around for more than 5000 years. It is believed to be the oldest healing science in existence, forming the foundation of others that came after. In this personalized health practice, the patient is empowered to become a student of their Dosha or mind-body type (there are three: Vata, Pitta and Kapha) and arrive at their own self-healing through guidance and knowledge of the optimal diet, exercise/yoga practice, supplements, herbal medicine, treatments, mantras and other lifestyle choices for that type. Our health is personal and the plan to achieve optimal balance health is equally personalized in practice. Above all else, Ayurveda believes that nothing has more power to heal and transform the body than the mind itself.
Ayu means ‘life’ and veda means ‘sciene or knowledge’ – Ayurveda is ‘The science of Life or Knowledge of longevity’
In this practice, we look at everything as a whole ecosystem of health. The emphasis on preventing disease is rooted in finding and maintaining that balance in the mind, body and spirit to make healthy living a joyful, creative and proactively powerful experience. Everyone can benefit from this timeless medicine, whether you’re actively dealing with health issues or simply looking to fine tune your relationship to wellness, conscious living and stress management.
Dhanvantari is the Hindu god of medicine and an avatar of Lord Vishnu. He is mentioned in the Puranas as the god of Ayurveda. He, during the Samudra Manthan, arose from the Ocean of Milk with the nectar of immortality.
It is written in the scriptures that, “One who remembers the name of Dhanvantari can be released from all disease.” Lord Dhanvantari is worshipped all over India as the God of Medicine.
People pray to Dhanvantari for health, happiness and prosperity. There area few mantras that can win the blessings of Lord Dhanvantari in abundance. Wake up early in the morning, take bath and set up the puja altar and chant with full devotion and sincerity concentrating on the meaning.
Om Namo Bhagavate Maha Sudharshana Vasudevaya Dhanvantaraye
Amrutha Kalasa Hasthaaya Sarva Bhaya Vinasaya Sarva Roka Nivaranaya
Thri Lokya Pathaye Thri Lokya Nithaye Sri Maha Vishnu Swarupa Sri Dhanvantri Swarupa
Sri Sri Sri Aoushata Chakra Narayana Swaha
Meaning: I bow down and pray to the Lord Dhanvantari who is the incarnation of Lord Vishnu and called Sudarshana Vasudev Dhanvantari. You hold in your hands, the Kalasha filled with the nectar of immortality. Oh Lord, you can remove all fears and diseases. You protect all the three worlds and you are the well-wisher of all created beings. You are the Lord of Ayurveda and the manifestation of Lord Vishnu. You are the ultimate healer of all the living beings. We worship you and pray you.

A little bit about Nancy:
I am Nancy,
a Wholistic Coach, Ayurvedic practioner, Founder of Wholistic Island Retreats & Ayurvedaste’, Certified Yoga Teacher and Reiki Master. I have designed my dream life on the magical tropical island Koh Phangan in Thailand.
After a very stressful time in my corporate job as Key Account Manager, I went on the journey to myself more than six years ago, followed by my heart and listened to what my body and soul need to get back in alignment. The ancient knowledge of India has strengthened and shaped my passion for yoga and alternative healing. I was able to learn and apply my knowledge first-hand from Ayurvedic doctors from Gorkana, Kerala and Dharamshala in India. I am passionate about sharing my Ayurveda knowledge and guide people to find more balance and happiness with applying Ayurvedic principles into their life. I am offering Ayurvedic treatments and Ayurveda Health & Wellbeing consultations at Ayurvedaste’ Health & Wellness Koh Phangan, holding lectures, workshops and retreats on Koh Phangan.
A little bit about Pedrama:
I am Pedrama,
a certified Ayurveda expert, a certified yoga teacher and a sound healer.
I started my journey with Bihar School of Yoga in India and a deep yearning for learning Vedic science led me to stay indifferent ashrams and learn more about yogic lifestyles. That is where I met my Ayurvedic teacher Dr Vasant lad. After finishing the Two Years Program at Ayurvedic Institute in New Mexico, USA, I started teaching yoga and giving lectures on Ayurveda in various locations.
My strong background in Sufi music and my deeper understanding of body, mind and consciousness, gave me the ability to start experimenting on sound healing.
Sharing these fundamental principles through Ayurveda, yoga and sound healing became my passion in life. I realized that with passing the light and wisdom to others I can get more established on the path and help others to grow as well. My goal is bringing more balance and harmony in our body, mind and consciousness so that we can live a happy, more harmonious and effective life with ourselves and the environment around us.
The workshop location is Nancy’s Ayurvedaste’ Health & Wellness sanctuary, a beautiful warm and welcoming Thai style villa nestled in the peaceful jungle of Haad Tonglang (close to Chaloklum)
The direction will be sent after the registration is completed and your spot is confirmed.
