The “science of life” or longevity, this holistic medicine system comes from India and has been around for more than 5000 years. It is believed to be the oldest healing science in existence, forming the foundation of others that came after. In this personalized health practice, the patient is empowered to become a student of their Dosha or mind-body type (there are three: Vata, Pitta and Kapha) and arrive at their own self-healing through guidance and knowledge of the optimal diet, exercise/yoga practice, supplements, herbal medicine, treatments, mantras and other lifestyle choices for that type. Our health is personal and the plan to achieve optimal balance health is equally personalized in practice. Above all else, Ayurveda believes that nothing has more power to heal and transform the body than the mind itself.

 In this practice, we look at everything as a whole ecosystem of health. The emphasis on preventing disease is rooted in finding and maintaining that balance in the mind, body and spirit to make healthy living a joyful, creative and proactively powerful experience. Everyone can benefit from this timeless medicine, whether you’re actively dealing with health issues or simply looking to fine tune your relationship to wellness, conscious living and stress management.

The Essentials of Ayurveda workshop is an invitation to dive into the ancient timelesss holistic art of the healing mother and get to know yourself better.

What we will cover in this 2-day workshop „The Essence of Ayurveda“ :

Nature & Doshas

Explore how the energetic force of the nature interplays with the Doshas. Find out your personal body constitution and learn to live according to your Dosha.


Dinacharya – Daily Routine & Lifestyle

Ayurveda give great importance to your daily routine to balance your doshas. Receive helpful and simple tipps to get started in an Ayurvedic lifestyle- morning routine, pancha kryias, yoga asanas, breathing and meditation. Develop awareness of the cycle of the nature.

Diet & Nutrition

Discover the foods that nourish your constitutional type . Learn about the heating and cooling properties of foods and how the 6 tastes influnces your diet.

We will get togther and have fun in the kitchen, learning how to cook the traditional Ayurvedic cleansing food- Kitchari.

A little bit about Nancy:

I am Nancy,

As a Wholistic Coach, Founder of Wholistic Island Retreats, Certified Yoga Teacher, Reiki Master, and Ayurvedic practitioner, I am living my dream on the tropical island Koh Phangan in Thailand.

After a very stressful time in my corporate job as Key Account Manager, I went on the journey to myself more than five years ago, followed by my heart and listened to what my body and soul need to get back in line. The ancient knowledge of India has strengthened and shaped my passion for yoga and alternative healing. I was able to learn and apply my knowledge first-hand from Ayurvedic doctors from Gorkana and Dharamshala in India. Today I live most of the year on Koh Phangan in Thailand where I teach yoga, practice Reiki and offer Ayurvedic treatments in yoga classes, individual sessions, workshops and retreats. I was able to regain my strength and live today the life I want to live, which I create myself, very close to Mother Nature and in harmony with the meaning of my life.

I love to get people excited about yoga, to observe and follow their progress, how to get back into the feeling with their own body, how to feel it, and how to make their voices heard from within. Ayurveda makes it perfect for me with her knowledge of a happy and healthy lifestyle and her holistic approach. It shows us the way of living in balance and in harmony with the nature.


The workshop location is nestled in the nature of Koh Phangan’s jungle close to Chaloklum. A beautiful, warm and welcoming Thai style villa will be your place to be for this two days „The Essentials of Ayurveda“ workshop.
