The “science of life” or longevity, this holistic medicine system comes from India and has been around for more than 5000 years. It is believed to be the oldest healing science in existence, forming the foundation of others that came after. In this personalized health practice, the patient is empowered to become a student of their Dosha or mind-body type (there are three: Vata, Pitta and Kapha) and arrive at their own self-healing through guidance and knowledge of the optimal diet, exercise/yoga practice, supplements, herbal medicine, treatments, mantras and other lifestyle choices for that type. Our health is personal and the plan to achieve optimal balance health is equally personalized in practice. Above all else, Ayurveda believes that nothing has more power to heal and transform the body than the mind itself. In Western medicine, the focus on physical symptoms has its place but can also disconnect itself from everything else, namely our thoughts, emotions, feelings, and the list goes on (Let’s just put it this way – would a doctor ever recommend forest bathing and hugging trees? Probably not 🙂 ).

In this practice, we look at everything as a whole ecosystem of health. The emphasis on preventing disease is rooted in finding and maintaining that balance in the mind, body and spirit to make healthy living a joyful, creative and proactively powerful experience. Everyone can benefit from this timeless medicine, whether you’re actively dealing with health issues or simply looking to fine tune your relationship to wellness, conscious living and stress management.

“The speciality of Ayurveda is that it’s not merely a science. It’s a complete system given to mankind from the Divine creator, to improve the quality of life, by being one with the universe. Acknowledging that we are not a greater species than any others, is the first step to healing oruselves. Once we calm our Ego and Sense of enttlement, we allow nature to heal our body and mind the way it was built to. We are in Eco-system dependent on each other. ”  ~Unkown~

Ayurveda and her ancient traditional practices are more important than ever to manage with modern stresses, promotes longevity, nourish every part of the body, relief pain, stiffness and tiredness. The word Abhyanga is translated with „rubbing the lymps“, which involves copious amount of “warm” oil, long strokes and circular motions around the joints.

This nourishing therapy is for everyone who seeks relaxation and balance in their entire being. Either you want to release pain, tension or work on a specific problem or you just want to treat yourself, you are most welcome for this divine ayurvedic treatment.

The most divine therapy

60 mins

Warm oil poured on the forehead is one of the most divine, relaxing therapies one can experience. “Shiro” means head and “Dhara” means flow. When people get up from this treatment a healthy glow shines from the skin and they appear relaxed and calm. The oil drops on the third eye which calm the mind and stops wandering thoughts.

The oil flow stimulates the 3rd eye and crown chakra, and awakens intuition and inner wisdom. Relieves stress, anxiety, depression, and insomnia through natural serotonin, dopamine, and melatonin release. Helps with diseases of the head, neck, eyes, nose, throat and nervous system.
